Now, this dish “Canned Stewed Pork Ribs With Potatoes” is truly super easy to prepare. Seriously, only 2 Ingredients, the canned Stewed Pork Ribs and Potatoes. Heck, U really don’t even need any seasonings..LoL More important, it really does taste delicious, with the unique flavors that comes with the canned Ribs. Basically, Ur only job is to soften the Potatoes before adding the canned thingy and U are ready to go. Here’s The Viand’s take on Canned Stewed Pork Ribs With Potatoes.

MAIN :

  • One can of Stewed Pork Ribs and Potatoes cut to triangular.

SEASONING :

  • Sesame oil and Shaoxing wine. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice – no rocket scientific measurement here. Always taste your Seasoning !!!

  • Step 1 : Start by sautéing the Potatoes with a generous of oil till slightly brown. This process will help the Potatoes soften a little faster but more importantly, it helps hold its shape better during simmering. Push the potatoes aside and sauté some chopped Garlic till aromatic. Mix everything and add water just abt cover the potatoes. Bring to boil and turn down heat, cover and simmer till Potatoes soften – abt 10-15 mins or to ur preference, depending on the heat and the size of the Potatoes.
  • Step 2 : When the Potatoes are in the right texture of softness, the water should have been rendered down to minimum (not dry but just a little left), if not turn up the heat to render excess water – bcos, U DO NOT want too much water to dilute the sauce/flavors of the Canned Stewed Pork ribs. Add the Canned Stewed Port Ribs, bring to boil, break up the Ribs if too big. Turn heat down and simmer a little – a min or two, just to allow the sauce to blend into the Potatoes and render to slight thickness. Add Seasoning Ingredients, mix well and voilà, ur plate of “Canned Stewed Pork Ribs With Potatoes” is ready to be served hot.
