Crunchy Healthy Delicious French Beans

There’s nothing like fresh green beans. Quick stir-fry with limited ingredient, done in a jiffy and the result; a plate of clean, healthy, delicious crunchy French Beans. Seriously, all U need is really a bunch of fresh French Beans – everything else that The VianD has in the dish is really optional and to make the dish a little more flavorful and looks more appetizing. Wat else can U asked for, right? *😁* The VianD has really nothing much to add sooo, here’s The VianD take on Stir-Fried French Beans.



  • Seriously, all U need is a bunch French beans (the rest of side ingredients are just for garnish or adding flavors).
  • Optional – this how The VainD prepare the beans – gently break the end of the beans and pull along the side and U should get rid of somekind of root-strand, discard that. Do for both ends. U can either simply snap the Beans to desire length or U can cut them at an angle.
  • Sliced quarter Onion, sliced red Chili, sliced red Carrot and sliced Fish cake (or a couple of prawns) – U don’t really need the protein.


  • Light soy,  Sugar, Salt, a touch of Oyster sauce and a dash of Sesame oil and Shaoxing wine. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice – no rocket scientific measurement here. Always taste your Seasoning !!!


  • Step 1 : Start by sautéing the Onion and sliced Fish cake with some chopped Garlic till aromatic on medium/low heat. Crank up the heat, add Beans and Carrot, stir and mix well. Add a tiny splash of water just to create some steam to cook the beans (undercooked Beans could have strong greenish taste). A few more good stirs, add all the Seasoning Ingredient, sliced Chili and viola, Ur plate of crunchy “Stir-Fried French Beans” is ready to be served hot.
