Back to basic. After a series of Nourishment dishes, here is a post that will bring us all back to reality and basic everyday cooking..😄. “Simple Stir-Fried Baby Bok Choy” is almost a customary Veggies dish among the Chinese. Pack with Vitamins and Minerals, Baby Bok Choy is a crunchy, almost fiberless, green mild tasting Veggies. Just like most green Veggies, quick stir-fried with limited Ingredients is the best way to prepare these beauties to preserve their fresh crunchiness and mild natural sweetness. Here’s The VianD’s take on “Simple Stir-Fried Baby Bok Choy“.

  • A bunch of Baby Bok Choy, rinsed and clean thoroughly. Cut in half if too big.
  • Sliced Ginger, a small handful of Goji berries and coarsely chopped Dried Shrimps.

  • Salt, Sugar and a dash of Oyster sauce and Shaoxing wine. All to taste. *** Note : Just dash of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice/sauce – no rocket scientific measurement here. Always taste your Seasoning !!!

  • Step 1 : On medium/low heat, start by sauteing the sliced Ginger and Dried shrimps with some chopped Garlic till aromatic. Add a tiny bit of water, bring to boil, then simmer for a little while – just get the flavor of the Ginger and Dried shrimps.
  • Step 2 : Crank up the heat, add the Bok Choy. A few quick stirs, seriously…, be quick and dependingly on ur heat, water will be produced and the Bok Choy will get soggy – definitely not something U want !!! Add the Goji berries and Seasoning Ingredients. A few more quick stirs and viola, ur plate of fresh crunchy sweet “Simple Stir-Fried Baby Bok Choy“” is ready to be served hot.
