- One thinly sliced Onion. Sliced Mushroom. An Egg.
- Two slices of Bread. A piece of sliced Cheese.
- Salt, freshly grounded black Pepper, dried Thyme and Basil. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!
Start by melting a small knob of butter. Fry the Egg. Here, The Viand has an Egg Ring – just to get a nice round shape ( fancy, eh ? *😂*). Dish out and set aside.
With the same Pan, add more butter and starts to caramelize the sliced Onion on low/medium heat. When the Onion turns kinda translucent, add in the Mushroom. Continue to gentle saute with constant stirring to avoid burning. After about 20 mins, everything should nicely caramelize and soft. Add all the Seasoning Ingredients. Set aside.
Meanwhile, get the bread toasted and assemble ur Sandwich – starting with the sliced Cheese, Egg, then top with the Mushroom Melt. Viola, ur “Caramelized Onion, Mushroom, Egg Sandwich” is ready !!!
