- Macaroni and Shredded Cheese (Parmesan/Cheddar).
- Chopped Onion. Finely chopped Parsley and Garlic.
- Butter, Cream and Milk.
- Black Pepper, Dried Thyme and Basil. Optional – Dijon Mustard. All to taste.
- ** Note : Just a dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient/spice flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice – no rocket scientific measurement here. Always taste your Seasoning !!! The trick is NOT the exact measurement, the trick is “to taste the Seasoning” and get ur preference balance of flavors !!!
Start by cooking the Macaroni in a pot of boiling water with a pinch of Salt till al dente. Meanwhile, melt the Butter in a non-stick Pan/Pot. Add Onion and Garlic and saute till aromatic.
With the Macaroni done, transfer to the Pan with some kind of Sifter. A little of water is fine, U don’t need to completely drain the Macaroni. Mix well and add the rest of the Ingredients (Parsley, Cheese, Cream and Milk) and Seasoning. Mix and toss well, making sure everything is blended together. Add more Cream and Milk is U prefer more sauce. Viola, ur smooth, creamy and cheesy “Stovetop Mac & Cheese” is ready to be served hot.
