Print-Nutritious Red Date/Goji Berry Tea

INGREDIENTS

Main :

  • Red Dates and Goji (Wolfberries). Both soak in warm water a few minutes just to get rid of any impurities. No specific measurement here, this brew is more like a daily consumption in replacement of water, if U like. If U prefer stronger flavors just add more of each Red Date or Goji.

Seasoning :

  • Optional – Rock Sugar or Honey or even few slices of mature Ginger. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!
METHOD

Bring a pot of water to boil, add both the Red Dates (break the Dates up a little to allow the flavor to defused more rapidly) and Goji – let it boil for a couple of minutes and then turn the heat to low and simmer for abt 30-60 mins. Obviously, the longer U simmer more flavors will be defused. An alternately lazy way of doing this is simply put everything into an air-tight glass and let it sit for abt 30 mins – this ofcos will be less flavorful. You can drink this tea hot, or allow it to cool and enjoy it over lots of ice. You can eat the berries and dates with the tea, or if you prefer, simply strain the berries and dates from the brew.
