- Soaked (just to get rid of any impurities) and washed Cabbage (Green Cabbage NOT Napa Cabbage), cut or, do like The VainD, simply hand-torn to bite size. Get rid of the top part of the middle stem, can be tough. Coarsely chopped soaked dried Shrimps.
- Light soy, Sugar, Salt, a touch of Oyster sauce, a dash of Sesame oil and a splash of Shaoxing Wine. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!
Start by sautéing the dried shrimps on medium/low heat till aromatic. Dish out to drain off excess oil. Set aside.
With the same oil sauté some chopped Garlic till aromatic on medium/low heat. Crank up the heat, add the Cabbage and stir well. Add a little water and let it sit for a little while, just till the Cabbage soften slightly (but not too soft/soggy, should be a littler crunchy). Add all the Seasoning Ingredients. Give it a few more quick stirs (just to combine everything) and viola, ur plate of natural sweetness “Simple Stir-Fried Cabbage (with dried shrimps)” is ready to be served hot.
