- Soya Beans – 200 grams.
Rock Sugar or normal table sugar – to taste. Pandan leaves (screw-pines).
Start by soaking the Soybeans overnite. Remove the peels be kneading the beans and flushing the loose peels with water. Just get the peels off as much as possible.
Soya Beans to Water Ratio : 100 grams of Soya Beans to 1 liter of water. Add water and blend till smooth. Strain into a pot through a double layer of cheesecloth or somekind of cloth coffee strainer. Squeezed the bejesus out of it..ahaha. The insoluble material that left behind is called okara. U don’t need this !
Add Pandan leaves and Rock sugar. On medium heat bring it to boil and starts to dispersed aromatically. Keep a close look on it, it tends to spillover. Stir occasionally to avoid bottom sticking and burning. Viola..! Your pot of healthy high protein “Soya Bean Milk” is ready.
