Print-Stir-Fried Bayam/Chinese Spinach (Amaranth)


Main :

  • Seriously, all U need is a bunch Bayam (soaked in water and clean thoroughly, cos sometimes, it does have some unwanted grains of sand).

Seasoning :

  • Sugar, Salt and a touch of Oyster sauce. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!

Start by sautéing the dried shrimps on medium/low heat till aromatic. Dish out to drain off excess oil. Set aside.

Start by sautéing some chopped Garlic till aromatic on medium/low heat. Crank up the heat, add Bayam, stir and mix well. Add a tiny splash of water just to create some steam to cook the Bayam. A few more good stirs, add all the Seasoning Ingredient and viola, Ur plate of crunchy “Stir-Fried Bayam/Chinese Spinach (Amaranth)” is ready to be served hot.
