Print-Stir-Fried French Beans With Roast Pork


Main :

  • A bunch of fresh French Beans. Wash and cut diagonally at an angle to abt 2-inches long.
  • Ofcos, the all important – Roast Pork (leftover or fresh).
  • Sliced quarter Onion,  sliced Ginger, sliced Red Chili, sliced Red Carrot and smashed Garlic.

Seasoning :

  • Light Soy, Salt, Sugar, White Pepper and a dash Sesame oil, Oyster sauce, and Shaoxing wine. Optional, a few drops of Dark Soy just for coloring. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!

On medium/low heat, with a tiny bit of oil, start by sauteing the Onion, Garlic and Ginger till aromatic. Not too much oil bcos the Roast Pork will render out plenty Pork fat.

Add Roast Pork and continue sauteing, stir to mix well. Continue frying till oil starts to render out from the Roast Pork, at which time – sweet aroma will fill ur kitchen. U can add a few drops of Dark Soy for coloring at this point if U like (purely optional).

Next, add the French Beans and sliced Red Carrot. A few quick stirs just to combine everything well. Crank up the heat, add a tiny amount of water to create some steam to cook the Beans and let it sit for a min or two. Add all the Seasoning Ingredients and sliced Red Chilli. a few more quick stirs, making sure everything is well mixed.

Plate and ur plate of delicious crunchy “Stir-Fried French Beans With Roast Pork” is ready to be served hot.
