Print-Stir-Fried French Beans


Main :

  • Seriously, all U need is a bunch French beans (the rest of side ingredients are just for garnish or adding flavors).
  • Optional – this how The VainD prepare the beans – gently break the end of the beans and pull along the side and U should get rid of somekind of root-strand, discard that. Do for both ends. U can either simply snap the Beans to desire length of U can cut them at an angle.
  • Sliced quarter Onion, sliced red Chili, sliced red Carrot and sliced Fish cake (or a couple of prawns) – U don’t really need the protein.

Seasoning :

  • Light soy,  Sugar, Salt, a touch of Oyster sauce and a dash of Sesame oil and Shaoxing wine. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!

Start by sautéing the Onion with some chopped Garlic till aromatic on medium/low heat. Crank up the heat, add Beans and Carrot, stir and mix well. Add a tiny splash of water just to create some steam to cook the beans (undercooked Beans could have strong greenish taste). A few more good stirs, add all the Seasoning Ingredient, sliced Chili and viola, Ur plate of crunchy “Stir-Fried French Beans” is ready to be served hot.
