- Five-spice dry Tofu – slice to abt. a centimeter thick. Roughly chopped Red Chili and Onion.
- Sugar, white pepper, a touch of Oyster sauce, Sesame oil and a dash of Shaoxing wine. All to taste. ** Note : Just dash/pinch of everything, if U prefer a stronger intensity of an ingredient flavor, simply add a little extra of that ingredient/spice (no rocket scientific measurement here). Always taste your Seasoning !!!
Start by sautéing the chopped Onion with some Garlic till aromatic in medium heat. Add the sliced Tofu and cont. to sauté for abt a min or two.
Add a little water, bring to boil and then turn heat down to simmer for abt 3-5 mins, just to allow the Tofu to soften a little. Add chopped Red Chili and sliced Scallion and all the Seasoning Ingredients. Crank up the heat and render the water down. Voila, ur plate of savory “Stir-Fried Five-Spice Dry Tofu” is ready to be served hot.
